“O Arjuna, there is nothing whatsoever higher than Me. Everything rests upon Me, as pearls are strung on a thread.”
Sanskrit
मत्तः परतरं नान्यत्किञ्चिदस्ति धनञ्जय | मयि सर्वमिदं प्रोतं सूत्रे मणिगणा इव ||
Transliteration
mattaḥ parataraṁ nānyat kiñcid asti dhanañjaya mayi sarvam idaṁ protaṁ sūtre maṇi-gaṇā iva
Commentary
This beautiful image shows how all existence is connected to and sustained by the Divine. Like pearls on a thread, the universe is held together by God's presence, though the thread may not be immediately visible.
