“I am the taste of water, the light of the sun and moon, the sacred syllable Om in the Vedas, sound in ether, and ability in humans.”
Sanskrit
रसोऽहमप्सु कौन्तेय प्रभास्मि शशिसूर्ययोः | प्रणवः सर्ववेदेषु शब्दः खे पौरुषं नृषु ||
Transliteration
raso 'ham apsu kaunteya prabhāsmi śaśi-sūryayoḥ praṇavaḥ sarva-vedeṣu śabdaḥ khe pauruṣaṁ nṛṣu
Commentary
Krishna teaches how to perceive the Divine in everyday experiences. The essence of every element—the wetness of water, the brightness of light, the power of sound—reveals God's presence everywhere.
