“I am the pure fragrance in earth and the brilliance in fire. I am the life in all beings and the austerity in ascetics.”
Sanskrit
पुण्यो गन्धः पृथिव्यां च तेजश्चास्मि विभावसौ | जीवनं सर्वभूतेषु तपश्चास्मि तपस्विषु ||
Transliteration
puṇyo gandhaḥ pṛthivyāṁ ca tejaś cāsmi vibhāvasau jīvanaṁ sarva-bhūteṣu tapaś cāsmi tapasviṣu
Commentary
God is the essential quality that makes each element what it is. The sweetness in earth, the heat in fire, life itself in creatures, and the discipline in those who practice—all are divine manifestations.
