9:1
“The Supreme Lord said: To you who are free from envy, I shall now reveal this most confidential knowledge along with its realization, knowing which you shall be freed from all misery.”
Sanskrit
श्रीभगवानुवाच | इदं तु ते गुह्यतमं प्रवक्ष्याम्यनसूयवे | ज्ञानं विज्ञानसहितं यज्ज्ञात्वा मोक्ष्यसेऽशुभात् ||
Transliteration
śrī-bhagavān uvāca idaṁ tu te guhyatamaṁ pravakṣyāmy anasūyave jñānaṁ vijñāna-sahitaṁ yaj jñātvā mokṣyase 'śubhāt
Commentary
Krishna begins revealing the most secret knowledge because Arjuna is non-envious. This wisdom, combined with direct experience, liberates from all material suffering.
