“That splendor of the sun which illumines the entire world, that which is in the moon, and that which is in fire—know that splendor to be Mine.”
Sanskrit
यदादित्यगतं तेजो जगद्भासयतेऽखिलम् | यच्चन्द्रमसि यच्चाग्नौ तत्तेजो विद्धि मामकम् ||
Transliteration
yad āditya-gataṁ tejo jagad bhāsayate 'khilam yac candramasi yac cāgnau tat tejo viddhi māmakam
Commentary
The light of the sun that illuminates everything, the glow of the moon, and the brilliance of fire—all these are expressions of divine radiance. Krishna is the source of all light.
