“One whose mind is not egoistic, whose intelligence is not tainted—even if killing these people, does not kill and is not bound.”
Sanskrit
यस्य नाहङ्कृतो भावो बुद्धिर्यस्य न लिप्यते | हत्वापि स इमाँल्लोकान्न हन्ति न निबध्यते ||
Transliteration
yasya nāhaṅkṛto bhāvo buddhir yasya na lipyate hatvāpi sa imāl lokān na hanti na nibadhyate
Commentary
One free from ego-sense and attachment, even while engaging in intense action (like warfare), neither truly kills nor incurs karma. Action without ego-ownership creates no bondage.
