Chapter 2: Transcendental Knowledgeसांख्ययोग
2:14
“O son of Kunti, the contact of the senses with their objects gives rise to cold and heat, pleasure and pain. They come and go and are impermanent. Endure them bravely, O Bharata.”
Sanskrit

Transliteration

Commentary
Life's dualities - pleasure and pain, heat and cold - are temporary sensory experiences. Krishna advises Arjuna to develop tolerance and equanimity, understanding that all experiences are fleeting. This detachment brings inner peace.
