“Prescribed duties originate from the Vedas, and the Vedas originate from the Supreme. Therefore, the all-pervading Brahman is eternally established in sacrifice.”
Sanskrit
कर्म ब्रह्मोद्भवं विद्धि ब्रह्माक्षरसमुद्भवम् | तस्मात्सर्वगतं ब्रह्म नित्यं यज्ञे प्रतिष्ठितम् ||
Transliteration
karma brahmodbhavaṁ viddhi brahmākṣara-samudbhavam tasmāt sarva-gataṁ brahma nityaṁ yajñe pratiṣṭhitam
Commentary
The cosmic chain continues: action comes from the Vedas, which come from the Supreme. Thus sacrifice connects us to the ultimate source of all existence - the divine Brahman.
