“The Lord creates neither the sense of doership nor the actions of the world, nor the connection of action and its results. It is nature that acts.”
Sanskrit
न कर्तृत्वं न कर्माणि लोकस्य सृजति प्रभुः | न कर्मफलसंयोगं स्वभावस्तु प्रवर्तते ||
Transliteration
na kartṛtvaṁ na karmāṇi lokasya sṛjati prabhuḥ na karma-phala-saṁyogaṁ svabhāvas tu pravartate
Commentary
God doesn't create karma or its results. These arise from nature's laws. The Supreme remains untouched as the witness while nature performs all activities.
